6. Sending Files

6.1 General Operation

Pressing the Send Queue Functions toolbar button ( 3.1.8 ) presents you with a screen which allows you to place files in the queue for sending.

First select the user to whom you wish to send the files via the popup menu.

You may also enter a message that will be sent with each file.

To load files you may either drop them onto the window, or select them individually by pressing the Select File button.

As files are selected they are shown in the listing. The destination user and file name are also shown.

When you have selected the files you wish to send, press the Load button. The Cancel button cancels the file load operation. The Delete button deletes items from the load list.

6.2 Resource Forks

Macintosh files may have two parts, the normal data and a "resource fork". On a Mac SockeToome will automatically convert files with resource forks to MacBinary format ( except .sit files which do not require it ). This may render the file unusable on a PC, so please request any Mac user to send you files without resource forks.
